Manchester United's Marcus Rashford is set to be part of the squad for tonight's Premier League game against Newcastle United at Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old arrived at the stadium just before 4:30 PM, carrying a boot bag and listening to music. The squad started arriving at 4 PM, and Rashford was one of the last to enter through the players' entrance.
Rashford has missed the last four matches, with his last appearance being in the 2-1 win over Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League on December 12. Earlier this month, he mentioned in an interview with journalist Henry Winter that he is ready for a new challenge, hinting at a possible move away from Old Trafford. This season, he has scored seven goals in 24 appearances for United.
Additionally, 16-year-old defender Godwill Kukonki is also expected to be included in the squad tonight. He arrived at Old Trafford about 10 minutes before Rashford, also carrying a boot bag. Kukonki, who can play as both a centre-back and a left-back, has been included in the matchday squad once before, making the bench for the 2-0 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium earlier this month.
Other players arriving before the match included Matthijs de Ligt, Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, and Antony.
The squad members are: Andre Onana, Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Diogo Dalot, Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro, Lisandro Martinez, Godwill Kukonki, Toby Collyer, Christian Eriksen, Kobbie Mainoo, Casemiro, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Amad, Rasmus Hojlund, and Joshua Zirkzee.
